The emphasis of the zero accident approach is in the early identification of safety issues and planning. This allows Blue Lake to enhance training, improve productivity, and control cost. Equally important facets of the program include a comprehensive drug and alcohol testing program and a thorough accident investigation program to determine accident root causes in order to prevent future reoccurrences.
